When I started with Deployed Love, we were bringing it to Fort Bragg for the first year ever. My husband and I were PCS’ing there from Fort Hood and Sabrina and I were so excited for all the potential and the blessing we could be to other military families. As a military spouse myself, the cause is near and dear to my heart. I will always remember my first holiday season that my husband spent overseas. I felt sad, lonely, and 100% ready for him to come back as soon as humanly possible. When I was offered the opportunity to be a part of Deployed Love, I knew it was such a good opportunity to give back to others going through that same feeling that I had experienced, and will certainly endure again. Our first year for the Holiday Mini’s was full of trials and learning experiences, but it has been such a joy to see Deployed Love grow and reach so many other bases and people across the country. I am so proud of all our coordinators and how they have managed to navigate and keep the joy alive through the Coronavirus. They have all taken it head on and have been so brilliant figuring out inventive ways so we can make this a safe and fabulous year for our event. I am THRILLED to see the outcome of this year’s Holiday Mini Sessions and to continue to reach more military families with each passing year.
